CAROL AND DALE INVITE YOU TO BE HERE NOW
ON MARCH 3, 2017

“ The Water’s Fine is about as solid a theology as I’ve heard in a long time.”
Steve Young, Living Waters for the World

Nashville, TN- BerryFineSongs is proud to announce the release of singer-songwriters CAROL AND DALE’S BE HERE NOW, their sophomore release, on MARCH 3, 2017.

BE HERE NOW was produced by Kevin McKendree at the Rock House in Franklin, TN. The album features 12 songs, including 4 instrumentals, co-written by Carol Warren and Dale Whitehead. Musicians joining Carol- vocals/bass/guitar, and Dale- guitars/ vocals, on this project in the studio include Paddy Dougherty Braunstein- vocals( David Bromberg), Kenneth Blevins- drums( John Hiatt, Tiny Town), Rick Vito- electric guitar ( Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger), Kevin McKendree- keyboards ( Delbert McClinton, Brian Setzer), and Yates McKendree- percussion ( Cumberland Blue, Preston James), with additional guest vocals from the “Hood” choir.

Carol and Dale have a sound that features a unique blend of harmonies, creative guitar work, and insightful lyrics. It is a sound that has been evolving for over 25 years. That evolution took a giant step in 2010, when Middle Tennessee, Carol and Dale’s longtime home, had a major flood. On May 1, 2010, 8 feet of water swept through their valley, including their home and the fields, which held the budding plants of their u-pick berry farm, Boyd Mill Farm. The new album was born out of their journey back.

Carol and Dale have been called “hope dealers.”  The songs on BE HERE NOW ring with hope, beginning with the inability to write after trauma (“Words Won’t Come”). There are voices of hope in life’s little moments (“Perfect for a Minute”), in learning from our shared history (“Devil’s in the Details”), and in learning to live in the present (“Be Here Now”). There are songs about peace (“That’s Enough”), strength (“Sky is Falling”), and unconditional love ( “Carbon Copy”). All the voices come together for an anthemic tribute to the power of community (“The Water’s Fine”).

The songs paint a tapestry of harmony, both in a musical sense and lyrically, exploring the ways to survive in the modern world together: living in the moment, thriving in community. The instrumentals provide moments for reflection and show off Dale’s guitar virtuosity.

Carol and Dale are a modern day renaissance couple: Dale is a piano technician, a veteran of several major
tours (Clint Black, Phish), both as crew and band member, an actor, and an inventor. Carol is a piano and guitar teacher, a minister, and a writer. They are both songwriters and farmers. Husband and wife, they met in Richmond, Va and moved to the Nashville area in 1994. Since then they have been writing and performing, while also raising money for local non profits with The Blackberry Jam Music Festival, the event they host on their farm each June, now in its 14th year.

Through the joys and tragedies that make up life, Carol and Dale have found the hope and put it in a song with a good groove. That’s what they have to share, and how they live their lives.

CAROL AND DALE will be touring in support of BE HERE NOW  this spring.
